Xbox 360 not updating shared folder
It just says “No videos found’” whenever I go into a folder with MP4 files.Anyway, after wasting more of my time, I was able to figure out how to get my MP4 files playing on the Xbox 360 again! To do so: Media Player is also what you will use if you want to play music, view pictures, or watch a video from a USB drive.Just plug your drive into the USB port on the left side of the Xbox One console, and then open Media Player.
Go to the new Clubs & LFG forum and vote for your favorite ideas! You can do this by going to Task Manager and killing two processes (and wmpnscfg.exe) or you can go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services, right-click on the WMP Network Sharing service and choose Stop. Not sure why this has to be done or why it works, but it does!Step 3: Now that the network sharing service is stopped, we have to delete the entire Windows Media Player library. So any MKV files you converted to MP4 will need to be renamed to AVI.You can do that by going to Tools, then Options and clicking on the Library tab. Go ahead and delete everything from the list except for the defaults.Step 2: Now you need to stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing service.
You can stream via Play (Charms Play), but today we will walk you through the networked approach, which assumes you have computers sharing the same network. The first is to stream your media from your computer or tablet, and the second is to play it directly off of a USB drive. The beauty of this method over the Play system is you can do it all from your couch via the Xbox One, instead of sending the video from a PC to your console.
